On February 27, 2026, the Science2Business event hosted by STUP BT in Bucharest created a vibrant meeting point for researchers, entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders eager to turn scientific ideas into real-world impact. Supported by the innovation ecosystem of Banca Transilvania, the event emphasized practical collaboration between academia and industry.
Rather than remaining at the level of theory, discussions centered on how research can move beyond the laboratory and into the marketplace. Participants explored technology transfer opportunities, funding pathways, intellectual property strategies, and the challenges of scaling research-based and deep-tech startups. Through keynote talks, interactive panels, startup pitches, and dynamic networking sessions, the event encouraged open dialogue and concrete partnerships. It was a great opportunity to disseminate ongoing projects including CHRISS, Arrowhead fPVN, EvoRoads, DOME, ONCOSCREEN, ONCODIR.
Science2Business 2026 highlighted the growing need for closer connections between science and business, demonstrating how collaboration can drive innovation, competitiveness, and sustainable economic growth. The event reinforced STUP BT’s role as a catalyst for entrepreneurship and a bridge between knowledge creation and commercial success in Romania’s evolving innovation landscape.
