“Boosting Frontier Research in Romania” — an event organised by the European Research Council (ERC) and Politehnica University of Bucharest — took place on 11 June 2026 at the Rectorate Building, Radu Voinea Amphitheatre, University Politehnica of Bucharest, as part of ERC President Prof. Maria Leptin‘s visit to Romania on 11–12 June 2026.
The event brought together science policymakers, ERC grantees, and the wider Romanian research community for a high-level programme featuring opening addresses by the Rector of University Politehnica of Bucharest Mihnea Costoiu, the Minister of Education and Research of Romania Mihai Dimian, and ERC President Maria Leptin.
