BEIA Consult International attended the 5th edition of POLI AutoFEST 2026 at POLITEHNICA Bucharest – three days of automotive innovation, cutting-edge technology, and inspiring conversations about the future of mobility.
The event was an excellent platform to disseminate several of our active Horizon Europe projects aligned with the automotive and mobility ecosystem: ECYBRIDGE, Arrowhead fPVN, H2VOLT, PASITHEA, DOME and EVOROADS – spanning autonomous vehicle networks, hydrogen energy, unmanned systems, cloud-edge platforms, and data-driven road intelligence.
Among the highlights of our visit were two particularly memorable encounters. At the Pirelli stand, our team engaged with company representatives in a fascinating conversation about their R&D activities in advanced tyre technologies – a reminder that innovation in mobility extends from the asphalt all the way to the rubber that meets it.
At the GEOSTUD stand, we discovered C-MineTech – a Digital Transformation Learning Platform co-funded by the European Union through EIT Raw Materials, designed to transform the raw materials sector in Romania, Greece, and Italy through immersive VR-based learning and digital twins.
We had the opportunity to try their VR simulator firsthand – an immersive tool designed to train students, interns, and automotive service workers on proper car disassembly procedures, and on how each material, fluid, and component recovered from a vehicle can be recycled or reused. A powerful demonstration of how digital education can accelerate the circular economy in the automotive sector.
