On 15 June 2026, BEIA Consult International researchers Andrei Dănilă, Theodor Pintilie, and Robert Streche commenced their secondment at Brunel University London as part of the ReCharged project — a Horizon Europe initiative advancing smart and sustainable urban mobility solutions.
The team was welcomed by Dr Abiy Kebede and Mr Seyyed Hosseini from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences at Brunel University London. The opening meeting focused on the current state of the project’s visualisation platform, bringing together both teams to review progress, exchange research perspectives, and explore shared interests that could form the basis of future joint project proposals.
Secondments of this kind are at the heart of what makes collaborative European research meaningful — they translate project milestones into real working relationships, and working relationships into lasting scientific partnerships. We look forward to following the progress of Andrei, Theodor, and Robert during their time in London.
