BEIA at SBEP Week 2026

BEIA Consult participated in the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership event series held in Bucharest from 10 to 12 February 2026. The biennial Symposium on 11 February served as the flagship event, bringing together cofunded projects and initiatives from related calls for visibility, networking, and knowledge exchange.

The event created a dynamic framework for collaboration among projects contributing to sustainability, digital transformation, environmental protection, and innovation across Europe. Within this context, BEIA Consult disseminated a broad portfolio of projects, including HRIA, ISOLDE, Arrowhead fPVN, DOME, PASITHEA, EvoRoads, PNTS, Ro-HydroHub, ONCODIR, unLoc, ONCOSCREEN, OenoTrace, ZERODEFECT4PV, PLENTY-Life, META-MUSEUM, ECYBRIDGE, Exploit4InnoMat, ReCharged, AIAS, D4SPAs, CIRANET, GeoSpectrum, FastCharge, SIOTIN, DANUBIUS-RO, and AgriNomand, highlighting their contribution to innovation driven and sustainability oriented initiatives.

The Symposium was particularly relevant for projects such as uBlueTec, which focuses on developing a training and skills development framework for underwater technologies as key enablers of the sustainable Blue Economy. By addressing green, digital, and blue skills, and by fostering cooperation between universities, VET providers, clusters, and SMEs, uBlueTec directly supports capacity building in sectors such as offshore renewable energy, marine biodiversity protection, and underwater cultural heritage. The event provided an appropriate platform to connect this educational and technological approach with broader European blue growth objectives.

At the same time, initiatives such as ReSPonSE, dedicated to the protection and restoration of the Lower Danube Basin and coastal Black Sea ecosystems, align closely with the objectives of the Sustainable Blue Economy Partnership. By integrating environmental monitoring, sustainable development strategies, and innovation for water systems and ecosystem resilience, the project contributes to long term ecological and socio economic balance in blue regions. The Symposium enabled valuable exchanges on ecosystem protection, environmental modeling, and collaborative approaches supporting resilient maritime and riverine environments.

Participation in this event series reinforced BEIA Consult’s engagement within the Blue Economy ecosystem and strengthened connections with European partners working toward sustainable and innovation driven growth.
