On 4 June 2026, POLITEHNICA Bucharest hosts the 3rd edition of MedFEST — a festival dedicated to medical engineering, organized in partnership with the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Carol Davila” — and BEIA Consult International will be there.
For BEIA, this event hits close to home. ONCOSCREEN is a Horizon Europe project developing non-invasive, affordable screening technologies for early colorectal cancer detection, running clinical trials with over 4,100 participants across 15 sites in 10 EU countries — with BEIA contributing wearable-data analytics and AI-powered risk stratification. ONCODIR approaches the same disease from a prevention angle, using AI-driven multi-omics analytics and behavioural science to deliver personalised, evidence-based cancer prevention programmes.
