BEIA delivered the ONCO-VOC sensor to Institutul Oncologic București – ONCOSCREEN

On July 1st, BEIA had the pleasure of visiting Institutul Oncologic București (IOB) to deliver the ONCO-VOC sensor, a key component of the OncoScreen project—a European initiative aimed at improving early cancer detection and screening methods.

The ONCO-VOC sensor is designed to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in exhaled breath, offering a non-invasive, quick, and innovative method for early cancer screening. During our visit, the BEIA team also conducted an on-site training session for the IOB medical staff, ensuring they are fully equipped to operate the device and integrate it into their clinical workflow.

This collaboration marks an important milestone in the OncoScreen project’s mission to bring advanced technology closer to patients and healthcare providers. By combining research, engineering, and clinical expertise, we take another step forward in the fight against cancer.

We are proud to contribute to the ongoing digital transformation of healthcare through European-funded projects and to support Romania’s leading oncology institute with innovative diagnostic tools.
