On June 19–20, 2025, BEIA participated in the Second IEEE International Conference on Blockchain, Smart Healthcare and Emerging Technologies (SmartBlock4Health 2025). This prestigious hybrid event brought together experts from around the world to explore how emerging technologies such as blockchain and artificial intelligence are shaping the future of healthcare, education, logistics, and more.
During the conference, BEIA had the opportunity to disseminate several key research and innovation projects, including SHIFT-HUB, ISOLDE, CHRISS, ARROWHEAD, ReCharged, AICOM4HEALTH, TELE-CONTACT, SMARTSENSE, OENOTRACE, ZERODEFECT4PV, META-MUSEUM, PLENTY-LIFE, ECYBRIDGE, uBLUETEC, Exploit4Innomat, ONCODIR, ONCOSCREEN, MOBILISE, FOR-FREIGHT, FLEXI-CROSS, RITHMS, EVOROADS, PASITHEA. These projects reflect BEIA’s ongoing commitment to advancing smart healthcare and digital transformation through international collaboration and cutting-edge technology.
A highlight of BEIA’s presence was the presentation of DOME Marketplace, the Distributed Open Marketplace for Europe. This initiative aims to provide a single trusted point of access to certified cloud, edge, and AI services across Europe. By simplifying discovery, ensuring verifiable credentials, and enabling federated access, DOME Marketplace supports Europe’s digital sovereignty and drives adoption of reliable digital infrastructure
SmartBlock4Health 2025 served as a valuable platform for industry-academia engagement and knowledge exchange, further strengthening BEIA’s contribution to impactful research and innovation on a global scale.
